Custom Manufacturing Services for Made-to-Drawing Parts

Xu Feng supports overseas buyers with custom metal and plastic parts made according to drawings, samples and technical requirements.

Before production, we review your project requirements, manufacturing feasibility, tolerance risks, material needs, surface finish impact and delivery expectations, helping you choose the right process and move from drawing to finished parts with lower production risk.

Choose the Right Manufacturing Service

DFM Analysis Before Quotation

Send your drawing for DFM analysis before quotation

Some drawings can be made by more than one process, but the cost, lead time and risk may be very different. Before quotation, we review your drawing and help check machining feasibility, mold risk, tolerance requirements, surface finish impact and possible cost-saving opportunities.

What We Check

  • Manufacturing process suitability
  • Tolerance reasonableness
  • Wall thickness and structure risk
  • Machining access or mold risk
  • Bending feasibility
  • Surface finish impact
  • Critical inspection points
  • Cost-saving opportunities

Manufacturing Services FAQ

A: It depends on the material, structure, tolerance, quantity, surface finish and final application of the part. Some parts can be made by CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding or stamping, but the cost and lead time can be very different.

If you are not sure, you can send us your drawing. We will review the design and suggest a suitable process before quotation.

A: Yes. Many customers contact us before the design is fully finalized. We can review your early drawing, CAD model or sample idea and provide feedback on process selection, material choice, wall thickness, tolerance risks, surface finish and possible manufacturing issues.

This helps reduce redesign work before prototype or production.

A: For a faster and more accurate quotation, please send 2D drawings, 3D CAD files, material, surface finish, quantity, tolerance requirements and expected lead time.

If some details are not confirmed yet, you can still send the available information. We can review the project first and advise what needs to be clarified.

A: Tighter tolerances usually require more machining time, better fixtures, slower processing, additional inspection or secondary operations such as grinding.

If a tolerance is not function-critical, we may suggest a more practical tolerance to reduce cost and production risk. For critical holes, bearing bores, flatness, parallelism, sealing surfaces or assembly features, please mark them clearly on your drawing.

A: Yes, in many cases we can review a physical sample, photos or basic dimensions first. However, for accurate production and inspection, a 2D drawing or 3D CAD file is still recommended.

If needed, we can help discuss reverse engineering, drawing preparation or sample-based manufacturing feasibility.

A: Yes. We can support common surface finishes such as anodizing, hard anodizing, plating, passivation, black oxide, powder coating, painting, polishing, brushing, sandblasting and laser marking.

Before production, we also review whether the surface finish may affect threads, holes, mating surfaces, cosmetic areas or final dimensions.
